Blue and White Kitchen Design

Functionality, colour and ample seating- that was the objective for this kitchen. While the space was large, the shape of the room made for an awkward layout. If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em! The L-shaped room only made sense to inhabit an L-shaped island. And with the island I was able to separate casual seating on one end and an additional dining table on the other. The countertop is quartz, an easy maintenance material which was installed with waterfall edges. This elevated the design and gave the kitchen a more contemporary style. I re-faced the existing fireplace on the opposite end of the kitchen with porcelain slabs. Porcelain is a very durable material and because of the size of the slabs the fireplace felt modern and helped tie the space together.
