Laundry and Powder Room Design

Its so fun whenever you get the opportunity to bring colour and pattern to a design. My client wanted to introduce blue, so the backsplash offered a perfect solution. It also had a lot of the other colours we wanted to tie into the space. Black floor tiles were chosen because they were going to be installed in other areas of the house and had to compliment the original hardwood flooring. The large format tiles were meant to bring a modern aspect to the design and help minimize the yellow tones found in the original wood. My client also had an abundance of shoes and purses, so tall cabinets with pullout drawers helped her stay organized. The powder room is the main washroom which gets used the most by guests, so making it extra special was important. All of the custom details helped make the powder room feel extra stylish.
